Overview

The Insurance Manager further developes the Group insurance programs by optimizing risk coverage and minimizing the total cost of risk. The Insurance Manager will assume primary responsibility for liability insurance solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient Group insurance programs with a focus on liability and environmental risks. Covers additional insurance lines of the corporate insurance portfolio
  • Manages the complete process from risk identification to insurance placement, including insurance strategy, data collection, policy wording, tender and placement, premium allocation and policy implementation
  • Actively engages with LH Countries, supporting their insurance needs. Ensures alignment between local and Group insurances and identifies efficiency opportunities
  • Supports Countries in managing major losses, analyses claims and identifies trends
  • Monitors the performance of Group insures, brokers and other service providers
  • Cooperates closely within the GRM team and with other corporate functions for effective risk prevention and efficient risk financing solutions
  • Evaluates efficiency opportunities by pooling additional risks into Group progams and captives

Education/Qualifications

  • Master degree in insurance, economics or related fields
  • Alternatively, insurance apprenticeship with further insurance qualifications

Experience

  • 5 – 10 years experience with multinational insurance programs gained as insurance underwriter, at broker or insurance manager of multinational corporates
  • Strong technical know-how in liability insurance solutions in Europe and US
  • Advanced knowledge of other insurance lines e.g. surety bonds, trade credit
  • Legal expertise in liability cases would be an advantage

  • Able to reduce complexity by extracting essential information, resulting in clear written and verbal communication
  • Affinity to IT with advanced skills in information sharing tools and office programs

Language Requirements

Excellent written and spoken English is required, other languages could be an advantage
