The job holder shall establish and develop the professional operations procedures and / or team to support plant performance. Review regularly and challenge operator’s performance in a positive manner to achieve operational excellence. Job owner is responsible for CROs certification program implementation.


Scope Of Work:

  • Establish, review and follow up the implementation of standard operating procedures in order to achieve Kiln & Mills operational mastery.
  • Set and monitor the operational targets with follow up on daily basis and ensure that the CROs are able to follow targets and correct any deviation that results in optimization of the production process.
  • Develop the CRO competencies by implementing the CRO Certification program in collaboration with CIP.
  • Responsible for the CROs individual development plan (IDP) with frequent individual meetings for follow up the progress and support the needed programs to achieve operation uniformity and mastery.
  • Coordinates production incidents and process deviation reporting in order to take appropriate actions to correct and avoid reoccurrence in order to achieve industrial performance KPIs.
  • Act as a champion for specific training tools update and usage such as CECIL and SIMULEX to enhance operators performance as part of production KPIs achievement.
  • Follow up and monitor the daily reports and the daily data log sheet for the CCR operators and the site attendants.
  • Responsible for the new operators in control room to ensure the readiness of the qualified substitute in the step up program.
  • Responsible for the CROs performance tracking tool and correct the deviations from the operational targets to ensure kiln and mills operation mastery.
  • Participate and prepare the raw data for the operations breakdown RCAs in order to avoid any similar occurrences as part of operation excellence.


Bachelor degree in Chemistry


  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations department with prior experience as a CRO for not less than 3 years.

Knowledge & Skills

Technical Competencies:

  • Excellent knowledge of the plant main equipments (kiln, cooler, raw mill, cement mill, coal grinding)
  • Excellent knowledge of “Cement Manufacturing Process”
  • production tools (IP21, Simulex)
  • Maintenance principles
  • Computer literate (basics)
  • Analytical skills & problem solving

Language Requirements

English - professional proficiency; and/or Arabic is a plus
