  • Overview

    The LEX Program is the primary vehicle to globally professionalize the Logistics function within LafargeHolcim, with the focus on up-skilling country logistics leadership teams, implementing a standard management system, while optimizing and delivering high impact in the areas of safety, service, cost and working capital, and an annual financial impact of CHF 400mill.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure that the LEX program is deployed in the countries assigned to him/her achieving the target improvements in Logistics Safety, Costs, Working Capital, Service Level and Skills.
    • Acts as a role model with regards to Health & Safety, cooperating with our H&S team to ensure that the LEX program takes an active role in driving the development of a robust Health & Safety Management system as an integral element of the LEX program.
    • Abide by all of LafargeHolcim's Health & Safety standards, carry out Visible Felt Leadership (VFL) visits at operational sites, as well as transporters, supplier and customer locations, communicate and ensure compliance to the standards.
    • Be an ambassador for the effective implementation of the Global Minimum Requirements on Road Safety as an integral part of the LEX program deliverables.
    • Support the LEX Head of Roll Out providing leadership and managing change to ensure that the overall LEX program delivers the business case by: -Developing and maintaining the transformation methodology applied in the global roll-out of LEX - Supporting recruitment and deployment of a global team of 25-30 navigators - Leading the roll-out of the country projects assigned to him/her - Developing and managing sustainability framework including periodic maturity assessments
    • Ensure that in each of the countries assigned to him/her, LEX is developed with the required data and impact transparency, adopting the standards and the methodology developed and updated by Corporate Logistics.  
    • Coach the Navigators Team (LEX Internal Consultants) to execute the assigned Initiative in the each phase (Diagnostic, Design, Pilot and Execution) of the related country project, initially driving the local team (Diagnostics and Design phases) but later (Pilot and Execution phases) ensuring that the local team takes ownership of the methodology deployed to achieve the identified targets

    Education/Qualifications

    • University degree in engineering or equivalent
    • MBA or equivalent would be advantageous 
    • Project Management Skills, including experience in recruiting, managing, developing people

    Experience

    • Proven track record of delivering business/corporate strategy development and execution
    • Major experience in Supply Chain Management, Project Management and/or Operations in multinational and multi-cultural corporations or in major consulting firms
    • Significant experience in managing and influencing teams in a matrix organization.  Evidence of influential relationships with network of key internal stakeholders
    • Commercial Acumen – Ability to develop logistics strategy in the context of the market, the customers, the value proposition and how we deliver profitable growth

    • Financial Acumen – possession of strong quantitative, forecasting and analytical skills and a deep knowledge of Logistics management. Ability to apply data and financial management principles to ensure decisions are sound.
