  • Overview

    The job holder will be part of the Maintenance and Material Handling group in the Cement Industrial Performance function.

     

    The role of this group is to provide sound technical expertise to our plants and industrial community in the fields of maintenance management system and business processes and tools, in order to maximize sustainable business results and to reach manufacturing excellence.

     

    The primary focus of the job holder is to execute mission, tasks and assignments in the field of maintenance processes and systems delivering solutions, adding value to the Group.

     

    He/she actively contributes in achieving a company strategy and to reach team goals and priorities through the following:

    4. Knowledge, competences, networks;
    5. People, team and culture development.

    Responsibilities

    Health & Safety and Security compliance:

    • Be H&S compliant, act as a role model in regions and plants, be safety conscious and proactive contributing to shaping a Group safety culture.  Actively participate in training and engage people in safety discussions

    Experts mission:

    • Manage own time and resources, structure and execute assignments in due time as well as in good quality; understand and anticipate client needs ensuring effectiveness and the bottom-line impact of proposed and accountable for solutions;
    • Deploy and provide technical expertise in the fields of maintenance organization, preventive programs, inspection, planning, scheduling, spare parts management, etc., as per the following activities:
      • Provide assistance to plants in reaching region and plant business objectives (Reliability, Availability and Performance) and optimizing sustainable maintenance costs
      • Monitor relevant KPIs (maintenance cost reference and inventory level reference) to ensure achievement of objectives, and propose action plans in case of deviation
      • Coordinate and manage the implementation of the Maintenance Management System and its integration into the plants’ organization in alignment with the CIF Group
      • Supports countries and plants in implementing CMMS in view of supporting: structure, methods and practices (MAC-SAP/MAXIMO-Mi7/ Root Cause Analysis / Failure Mode Effect Analysis / Maintenance Budget, etc)
      • Provide support to the plants in the preparation of their Major Maintenance Turnarounds.  Ensure the coordination between the plants and the experts of the Maintenance and Equipment departments to provide support to the plants in the planning, scheduling, execution and post-mortem of the Major Maintenance Turnarounds
      • Support and challenge the plants during the development of their annual budget and action plans;
      • Assist the plants in identifying potential opportunities in their maintenance costs to optimize their budget.  Help the plants by providing data to CIP for the calculation of the maintenance cost reference

    Development of process tools and process systems:

    • Develop, promote and maintain process and operational tools supporting manufacturing (e.g. MAC-SAP/Maximo-Mi7, downtime analysis tool, maintenance budget tool)
    • Develop and maintain preventive/predictive techniques
    • Provide support on reporting tools for maintenance costs and KPIs
    • Roll out the implementation of new tools, train the target audience, and monitor progress

    Knowledge, competences, networks

    • Create and animate a network of Experts, communities of practice, collaboration tools and knowledge platforms
    • Participate in the design of technical training programs
    • Build relationships and networks across the Group communicating proactively

    Education/Qualifications

    • Maintenance Engineering degree or related discipline (Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering)

    Experience

    • Plant experience in a maintenance position in heavy industry
    • Experience in cement operations (industrial) is a plus
    • Experience in CMMS (MAXIMO and/or SAP PM)
    • Multicultural experience
    • Experience in a Corporate or Regional role is a plus

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Analytical skills, problem-solving
    • Business/financial acumen in cement manufacturing

    Language Requirements

    Proficiency in English. German or French is an advantage.
