  • Overview

    In line with the Group strategy and O&HR vision and priorities, this role ensures the establishment, development, coordination, coherence, sustainability, efficiency and control of the overall compensation system, in particular salaries and bonuses for certain salary grades (managed at Group level), and Long Term Incentive Plans (LTIPs). He/she develops proposals for compensation packages and contracts for LafargeHolcim senior leadership and presents these to the executives involved and their managers.

    Responsibilities

    • Support definition of compensation strategy, policies and processes
    • Organise and implement annual salary & bonus reviews and LTIP grants, provide tools, guidance and support to region and country HR and C&B teams
    • Obtain relevant pay benchmarking data, update salary ranges and support country annual salary increase credit definition.
    • Provide relevant suggestions for job bands, executive compensation benchmarking, supports pay proposals for candidates / promotions
    • Manage annual bonus calculations, interface with Group and Regional finance to obtain relevant financial targets, update bonus database for job changes throughout the year
    • Support preparation of presentations to various stakeholders (HR leadership team, Exco, NCGC)
    • Support ad-hoc compensation-related projects throughout the year

    Education/Qualifications

    • University degree or equivalent education

    Experience

    • Significant experience in compensation management at a regional or international level
    • Experience in interacting with senior management / executives
    • Experience in using an HRIS tool, preferably Workday
    • Experience and good judgment in job evaluation and pay benchmarking

    Knowledge & Skills

    Skills:

    • Highly numerate, strong command of Excel / Google Sheets, ability to develop data analytics, decision-making and modelling tools
    • Good business and financial acumen
    • Ability to cope with VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity) and help bring stability, reliability, simplicity and clarity
    • Collaborative / teamwork mindset, can-do attitude, client orientation

     

    Other requirements:

    • Excellent command of spoken and written English. German and/or French are a plus.
    • Occasional travelling
    • Candidates must be able to meet Swiss work permit requirements and employment is subject to work permit approvals.
