  • Overview

    In line with the Group strategy and O&HR vision and priorities, the main purpose of this role lies in four key domains:

    • Ensuring the control and optimization of expatriation costs and Region/Country awareness and actions regarding compliance of assignees.
    • Process and standards: Ensuring processes, policies and standards are in line with business needs and competitive with the external market. Guaranteeing equity, transparency and understanding of the Group policies via communication materials and training modules and their deployment through LafargeHolcim.
    • Customer relations: Guaranteeing the accuracy and reliability of expertise and information provided, as well as the efficiency and speed of delivery as a Group Centre of Expertise for all LafargeHolcim businesses.
    • People management: Guaranteeing the adequacy of team members’ skills and level of service to the business in relation to responsibilities and expertise, and providing them a stimulating work environment and development opportunities.

    Responsibilities

    • Setting the conditions for the transfers of international/mobile assignees
    • Monitoring the consistency of application of Group policy and arbitrating exceptions
    • Monitoring workload and managing effective coverage for all regions, providing dashboards on the global assignee population
    • Leading policy benchmarking and proposing related improvements
    • Participating and leading compliance projects with Regions/Countries
    • Managing a team of International Mobility Officers, who prepare cost projections, prepare assignment terms and conditions, provide expertise on international social security, taxation, immigration issues and control compliance with the global tax provider, provide explanations and training on Group policy for the HR community, interact with employees and the HR community on individual situations and movements

    Education/Qualifications

    • University degree

    Experience

    • Significant professional experience in within International Mobility/HR
    • Track record of achieving tangible results within large, complex, multi-national organizations
    • Team management: coaching and workload organization, providing technical guidance and judgment in complex cases

    Knowledge & Skills

    Skills:

    • Strong specialist knowledge (professional experience or professional qualification) in tax, legal or compensation and benefits / international mobility management
    • Tax, legal and Compensation & Benefits - Knowledge and ability to work with global external experts in these fields and make informed decisions for the Group
    • Political savvy. Ability to cope with organizational complexity, ambiguity and uncertainty. Ability to explain complex technical concepts / ideas to O&HR generalists and expatriates. Inter-cultural awareness and sensitivity.
    • HR business process and data management, policy writing/edition, usage of HRIS tools (preferably Workday)

     

    Other requirements:

    • Fluent English. Professional level of French and/or German a plus
    • Occasional travelling
    • Candidates must be able to meet Swiss work permit requirements and employment is subject to work permit approvals
