  • Overview

    For our corporate Price and Margin Management team based in Holderbank AG, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager Price and Margin Management who creates superior value by assisting to introduce and develop local pricing strategies and price and margin management processes to sustainably increase the profitability of the Group.

               

    The ideal candidate has a proven track record as an international consultant, has worked in the building materials industry, has operational experience in Price and Margin Management in developing markets and is an expert in Price and Margin Management.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage (in project mode) global pricing initiatives in countries across LafargeHolcim with a focus on developing markets in bag cement / retail channels
    • Support the ambition and the direction of price and margin management initiatives on Group and/or local level
    • Consult the countries in introducing pragmatic price and margin management related frameworks, tools and processes aiming to improve the profitability of the local companies
    • Support the countries in the effective realization of their top line objectives
    • Develop a best practice sharing system around the topic of price and margin management
    • Develop the knowledge and expertise on price and margin management in the Group
    • Develop price and margin management related modules for commercial trainings including e-learning modules and deliver these efficiently at local or regional level

    Education/Qualifications

    • University degree required, preferably in business administration (finance), or economics (Master degree as an advantage)

    Experience

    • 10+ years of work experience of which at least 5 years of experience working in Price and Margin Management and Market Intelligence in building materials using retail channel
    • At least 5 years of operational experience working in cement industry in a developing market (bag cement market)
    • Operational consulting experience
    • Specific experience in designing pricing strategy to launch new products in markets under development

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Proven project management skills
    • Advanced analytics and database management (advanced margin analysis and total price management tools, ideally QlikView)
    • Managing stakeholders on different seniority levels in a multicultural environment
    • Familiar with adult learning approach: Proven track record in developing and delivering trainings including e-learning modules (familiarity with Storyline e-learning software as an advantage)

    Language Requirements

    Fluency in English. Additional languages (specifically local languages from developing markets in the LH footprint) would be an advantage.

    Travel Requirements

    30-50%
