  • Overview

    The Investor Relations Manager (IRM) supports the development of the equity story to convey to the investment community and all stakeholders (shareholders, the capital market, employees and the general public) to protect the share price valuation from rumours, competition environment changes or adverse macro-economic trends. The IRM has direct relationships with the financial community and investors to ensure that a favourable climate of opinion is maintained in the best interests of shareholders. To do so, the IRM has regularly meets with analysts and investors to obtain funds and ensure LafargeHolcim has right mix of investors in its portfolio to support growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure that LafargeHolcim is presented to all internal and external stakeholders (including shareholders, the capital market, employees and the general public) in the most favorable light;
    • Organize and participate to roadshows and reverse roadshows (with or without management), including equity roadshows, SRI roadshows (jointly with Group Public Affairs and Group Legal) and debt roadshows, jointly with Group Corporate Finance and Treasury, and participate to the organization of the Annual General Meeting jointly with Group Legal and Group Communication;
    • Network extensively with other group functions such as controlling, communications, legal, SD and also has direct contact with other Executive Committee (ExCo) members and local CEOs, CFOs and Treasurers in order to develop a broad understanding of all relevant events happening in countries;
    • Maintain regular contact with a broad range of investors, analysts and rating agencies to ensure that they are provided with timely, accurate and high quality information;
    • Fully understands the LafargeHolcim strategy in order to competently interact with the financial community, and ensure consistency of financial messages delivered worldwide by LafargeHolcim;
    • Conduct analysis to decide which investors to focus on so that LafargeHolcim has the right mix of investors to support growth, as well as market watch and identification of the changes in the shareholding structure of the Group;
    • Develop extensive communication and Q&A documents (with input from other departments such as Reporting, Consolidation and Controlling, performance management) ahead of quarterly results and agree key messages with CEO and CFO.

    Education/Qualifications

    • University degree in Finance, Business Administration

    Experience

    • 5+ years of successful professional experience in various relevant functions such as strategy, accounting, controlling, financial analysis in countries or at Group level
    • A generalist with an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of business and strategy, as well as broad and deep finance knowledge
    • Experience working with accounting treatments, with deep knowledge of financial markets, and in-depth understanding of investor categories
    • Prior experience in cement industry is an advantage

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Ability to effectively communicate with external audiences especially in the financial community and at ease in interacting with senior management (ExCo Members and all other Senior Group Executives)
    • Reliable and trustworthy with excellent communication and cooperation skills
    • Able to explain complex financial matters clearly and concisely
    • Extensive network of contacts in the financial community

    Language Requirements

    Fluent English, and French and/or German are an advantage
