  • Overview

    The job holder will be part of the team Maintenance and Material Handling in the Operational Excellence department, within Cement Industrial Performance function. The role of this team is to provide sound technical expertise to our plants and industrial community in the fields of maintenance management system as well as material handling processes, in order to maximize sustainable business results and to reach manufacturing excellence.The primary focus of the job holder is to execute missions and assignments in the field of material handling processes and systems delivering solutions, adding value to the Group. He/she actively contributes in achieving a company strategy and to reach team goals and priorities through the following:

    1. Health & Safety and Security compliance;
    2. Involvement in expert missions;
    3. Development of process tools and systems;
    4. Knowledge, competences, networks;
    5. People, team and culture development.


    • Health, Safety and Security compliance. Provide a high level of support for safety in the
      domains of material handling processes: safety observations, risk assessments, and
      audits. Creates and enhances a culture of cleanliness throughout the plants
    • Experts mission. Deploy and provide technical expertise in the fields of material
      handling; a) Secondary equipment technology and operation, mainly transport and
      dedusting, b) Inbound materials management; natural and alternative raw materials,
      traditional and alternative liquid and solid fuels, additives, c) Packing and shipping
      technology and operation
    • Development of process tools and process systems. Develop, promote and maintain
      standards, templates, operational tools and KPIs, supporting material handling
      manufacturing excellence. Design, develop and roll out the implementation of
      processes supporting implementation of above standards, tools and KPIs, teach the
      target audience, and monitor progress.
    • Knowledge, competences, networks. Build relationships and networks across the
      Group, communicating proactively. Maintain close contact with plants and regional
      organizations. Participate in the design of people development support (technical
      training programs, workshops, roundtables, facilitate training modules, support
      competency development projects.
    • People, team and culture development. Collaborate with other support services such
      as Procurement, Logistic or Geocycle. Be a team player, collaborate and constructively
      challenge status quo. Ensure openness and work effectively and flexibly in the face of


    • Engineering degree from a related discipline


    • Plant experience in an operation position in heavy industry
    • Commissioning experience from a supplier in related discipline
    • Experience in Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
    • Multicultural experience
