  • Overview

    The Head of Treasury Back and Middle Office is leading a team of seven treasury specialists and ensures that appropriate treasury processes, procedures, systems and controls are in place for all transactions performed in the Group treasury department.  The role is also responsible for the treasury controlling and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    • Management of a team of 7 professionals
    • Monthly financial closing: Responsible for valuations in the treasury system and preparation of booking entries for derivatives (FX, interest rates, commodity hedging) including hedge accounting documentation according to IFRS and regulatory reporting (e.g. EMIR, DFA)
    • Controlling and reporting: Analyze and report treasury key figures to management and auditors and prepare specific treasury disclosure notes for external communication. Coordinate and prepare monthly liquidity forecast at Corporate level
    • Internal controls: Coordinate activities for Group Treasury according to the Group internal control system
    • Validation of treasury deals in the treasury management system (mainly SAP TRM) and execution of payments through the Group Treasury’s bank communication tool (SAP BCM)
    • Administration of treasury systems from a business side
    • Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of state-of-the-art treasury systems in co-operation with Group IT

    Education/Qualifications

    • Master degree in business administration with a focus on financial accounting/controlling
    • Certified public accountant (CPA) would be an advantage

    Experience

    • Proven track record of team management
    • Minimum 5 years in treasury middle/back office roles and/or financial controlling with a focus on treasury positions, preferably in a multinational Group
    • Experience in external audit would be a plus

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Committed team leader with willingness to lead projects, including IT oriented
    • Integrity and accuracy are key
    • Excellent analytical skills
    • Good knowledge on financial instruments including IFRS 9 and specific experience in derivatives and hedge accounting
