Lead and drive the category within the region to ensure the successful development and execution of the main category strategies and especially the increase of usage of Best Cost Countries (BCC) suppliers and (ii) drive and be accountable for regional category performance and main objectives
Animate a Network of Expert including representatives of Countries, rCIP and PM&E and Aggregates performance function being a platform of Exchange for Success stories and best practices sharing
With the support of Regional Performance functions (rCIP , Regional PM&E Aggregates Performance) and Countries E&C procurement teams review CAPEX and major maintenance operations to identify possibility of pooling and bundling of equipment and consumables regionally as well as possibility to source from BCC . Work with Technical Experts to challenge the needs and the specifications
Perform or animate the Request for quotation process for the identified E&C. Liaise with other Regional E&C category manager to identify possibility of multi-regional bundling and pooling of volume.
As a member of the E&C Category team manage a portfolio of global suppliers supplying Europe Countries with Equipment & Consumables to all LafargeHolcim operating countries, and all Business Lines i.e Cement including Geocycle, Aggregates & RMX.MAIN
Act as the Cost Challenger for the Equipment & Consumables
University degree in Business, Purchasing or Supply Chain
Advanced degree (e.g. EMBA)
10 years’ experience in strategic procurement roles with exposure to engineering project sourcing, equipment engineering, complex strategic sourcing and optimal procurement processes and standards (experience within the LH Group is highly appreciated)
Exposure to a similar role in the construction materials market in a must
Proven performance in managing and developing an international team in several countries, with requisite drive and energy to ensure a challenging benefits and capability building agenda is successfully delivered
Experience in Best Cost Country Sourcing
Experience in different geographies and working with different cultures
Knowledge & Skills
Business & Economics, Equipment & Engineering, Marketing & Sales, Procurement, legal & contractual areas
Technical credibility to challenge/influence internal stakeholders and has a strong understanding of the spend categories and cost drivers to challenge both category managers and suppliers
Expert negotiation skills
Demonstrated broad understanding of the content, processes and delivery channels in the field of the assigned category, with sufficient knowledge in category to challenge and drive change and innovation
English is a must, other languages are advantageous
